A few months ago in May and June when we anxiously attacked the beaches, deprived of sun, we found ourselves disappointed by Lake Michigan’s icy greeting. It seems that every year in our excitement, we forget that the water won’t quite be ready for us. We patiently wait as the days get longer, sunning the shores for a few extra minutes, and loyally visit the beaches to test the temperature. . .

– The natural color of rubber is white, not black. Manufacturers of tires add carbon black to rubber to increase various qualities that prolong the life of the tire. The carbon black increases road-wear abrasions of the produced tire. . .
