Last Minute Spring Break Ideas

So, you weren’t going to go on spring break this year. And then yesterday morning, you woke up to yet another dusting of snow on your car. You had to dig your mittens and hat back out of storage because you optimistically stored them in the back of your closet after those three 50+ degree days of sunshine. You managed a slippery commute to work and got through the day staring at your beach screensaver. If you had only booked that flight to Florida a month ago… But, there is still hope.

A last minute Spring Break road trip could be just the thing you need to stick out the last couple of weeks of this everlasting winter. There are several awesome routes that can not only get you to warmer weather quickly, but take you to some American cities and towns that everyone should see. Tell the kids to pack their bags and hit the road with one of these awesome itineraries.

Charleston, South Carolina

Take a trip to a historical town full of hospitality and fun. With activities ranging from outdoor recreation to historical tours — Charleston is a perfect family destination.

Jacksonville, Florida

For a different Florida vacation, visit Jacksonville — a younger city with opportunities for both relaxation and adventure. Jacksonville has everything you’d want out of a spring break, like beaches, nightlife, and coastal cuisine.

Nashville, Tennessee

Head to Music City to explore spring festivals, awesome venues, and some southern cooking. Nashville is a quick, affordable trip that’s 100% worth the time. Even if you aren’t a country fan, Nashville has something for you.

New Orleans, Louisiana

If you’re looking for an escape from your day-to-day, head to New Orleans — a fascinating city that blends cultures, cuisines, and music to create its own unique lifestyle. New Orleans has fun for all ages and tastes. The spring festivals — like the French Quarter Festival — will put that pep back in your step, while museums and tours will take you back in time and give you a taste of American history.

Before you head out on any of these trips, make sure to stop into your local Wonderland Tire to ensure that you and your family get to the sun safely. Happy adventures!
